if you don't get a scholarship to play on a team, can you still be guaranteed a spot on the team?? like if you're not good enough to get a scholarship (or the school doesn't offer them) can you still be guaranteed a spot on the team before preseason/tryouts even starts?

Nothing's ever a guarantee in college sports. You have your scholarship players, and then you have what they call walk-ons, where they're just average Joes trying out for the team. Sometimes the walk-ons make the team, sometimes they don't. It all depends on how hard they practice and how lucky they get
