What can I do to help my sister?

Question:
She has been "dating" a guy off and on for 3 years. She turns 18 in a week and is not doing anything to get into college (which she qualifies for a scholarship), not doing anything to get her license and when my husband and I went to visit my family over the weekend, her "boyfriend" and his mom tried to jump my husband and I. I'm worried for her safety but now she won't talk to me because I told my mom what happened. How can I help her? I just want my sister to talk to me. BTW~ the guy is still in high school and he's 19.

Answer:
If you've offered your advice, that's all you can do. It doesn't sound like she wants or is ready to accept your help. It'll have to get worse before she sees that she needs to get out of a loser relationship. You can't fix it for her, though. Live your own life, but keep the door open for when she does ask for help.
just have a confrontation with your sister alone and tell her how this guy is affecting her life. this guy sounds like no good you should call the police if anything serious happens.
communicate through the mail.
Just talk to your sister once. explaining importance of having and education. hey why dont u suggest to her that she try for same colleges with her boyfriend. so they can be together hey she is only 18 and at 18 a relationship is the most important thing.by doing this she wont be offended as she can spend max time with her boyfriend
honey once she goes to college she will get to see much better guys smart intelligent good looking sooner or later she will be tempted to stray from her present boyfriend and start going out with her class mates.
For the start suggest that she try for colleges with her boyfriend .she will do it as she can spend all the time with him.
At 18 if u try to tell her bad about her boyfriend she wont listen hey nobody at 18 will listen to elders.
