College..Help!?
Question:
Answer:
Thats a tough situation. I've learned that freedom is a big part of college but at the same time you don't want to be broke when you graduate. If there's a way you can take a loan thats not insane and you really want to go to the one in PA then I'd say work it out. As far as staying home I'd see if there (I know its crazy late for this) was a state school far enough for you to live on campus and obviously less expense than the one in PA.
This kind of thing happened to me. My dream school was (still is) in PA but it was too much money with the out-of-state tuition so I stayed home and went to a state school far enough away that I could live on campus. I graduate this week too and the freedom of it all is the part that I will miss the most. Hope that helps.
If you choose to go to GA you do not have to stay at home with your parents. You can choose to live at the dorms or in a apartment. Sure they will visit you more often but seriously you must think of the long term benifits of not having a hefty tuition bill to pay back after everything is said and done.
Freedom, baby. That's what makes college.
Everyone's got loans, especially college students. Kids put themselves through it with less financial help than your getting, and they still make it through and pay everything off.
Go for the real college experience. Don't let your family convince you that it's not worth it.
