Studying for Master's degree in Norway?

Question:
I'm a US citizen but my Dad lives in Norway. I'm interested in getting my MA in Bergen, and want to know if anyone knows of scholarship opportunities for a US citizen studying in Norway? I'm studying Latin American Studies and Language, but want to do it in Norway to improve my Norwegian and learn more about my heritage. I've already checked out Sons of Norway, which I'm a member of, but I'm not eligible. I'm interested in small or large scholarships.

Sorry that my question is so detailed, but I'm exhausted from searching!

If you've studied in Norway before, please leave a message about your experience. Thanks!!

Answer:
I would contact the school you are considering to ask for assistance in the financial arena. Some Norway programs will reserve financial opportunities for those coming from the US, especially those with a connection to Norway.

I studied in Oslo two summers ago. It was an amazing experience. If the MA abroad does not pan out, please consider International Summer School (ISS) at the University of Oslo-Blndern for a class that will transfer to the US as well as one of the most international (and Norwegian) experiences of your life.
Hi there sofarsogood,

You can try GoAbroad.com's Degree Abroad Directory for Latin American Studies:
http://www.degreeabroad.com/listings.cfm...

GoAbroad.com staff took time in verifying most of the study abroad providers there(look for the light green check, check+, and check++ logo) and there's even a testimonial for some(look for the "speaking" logo).

Hope this helps,
GA :-)
