How can i find out if my student loans which i did not pay back will keep me from taking more college coarses?

Question:
i got these loans in 1999, through the fannie mae foundation.

Answer:
If you defaulted on your loans (made no payments for nine months) then you are no longer eligible to receive financial aid until those loans have been rehabilitated. You can still take classes just do not expect to receive financial aid for them.

Call Sallie Mae to check on your status. (Fannie Mae does home loans - I'm not aware of them offering student loan options but I may be wrong). If you do apply for financial aid, your school's financial aid office can determine if you've defaulted - the Department of Education will let you and them know.
call the aid office or the lender...i doubt they would not allow you to take classes but the lender may have sent you to collections.i seriously doubt that would hold you from classes unless you are applying again.try calling
