How hard is it to get a scholarship into college if you play in div. II high school football?

Question:

Answer:
i'm not sure what state you live in, but if by div. II you mean the second biggest, then you have a decent shot if you are legit and can play in playoff games. the other thing you should do if you don't get any exposure is to find some combines and clinics you can go to and compete in drills in front of college coaches.
Really never heard of DIVISION 2 High School Football, But if you are relating to Division 4 up to division 6, if you are a back and can run the ball under a 4.5 -40 and have some North - South smack about you it's very good someone will want you, if you are a lineman size and speed isn't what it's all about you have to have quick feet for pass blocking and then run a 5.0 -40 yard dash also withe a 6'5" frame and about 285 lbs you will make it (maybe) you need heart also.
If you are a linebacker defense back you need the sideline to sideline speed with a nose for the ball and to be able to read the QB's eyes.
Just going through my personal experience the past few years, Tim Shaw played for Clarenceville in Michigan (a school of 600), and ended up going to Penn State. He was drafted in the 5th round this year. Granted, he played offense and defense, rushed for over 3000 yards his senior year, led his team in every written defensive statistical category, and took them to the state finals. He was also like 6-5, 240 and was a State track star. If you have that kind of potential, your gonna get looks.
Another example is Brandon Graham, who went to Detroit Crockett (600 students as well). He was a blue chipper who ended up at Michigan last year, and got in on some defensive sets as a freshman. Basically, if you are that talented, it doesnt matter what school you go to.
It doesnt matter at division u play in if u have talent then the coaches are going to find it. however getting help from your coach is key and getting ur name out there. mail out highlight tapes and have ur coach talk good about u. also go to camps and combines and perform well in the drills and the 40.
This is a trick question, here's why. If you're talking about a big time college program or if you're talking about Div. II NCAA programs.

D-I programs, to get noticed you need to be on a pretty good team, probably ranked in your state poll pretty high, maybe even win a State Title, (as a Junior is best) YOU, need to be All-State at your position, and if you play a position that earns stats, you'll need some pretty impressive ones. Here's why, D-I school like putting that kind of stuff in their programs. Great High School teams catch the scouts eyes, Scouts don't waste their time going to 0-10 high school games. (yes, there are exceptions)

D-II, There are a lot of good D-II programs some give full ride scholarships others just give partials so they can get more quality players. Your high school coach should send video tapes to school to drum up interest, often your high school coach has a buddy that coaches at the college level and they talk.

If you want a scholarship, you need to live in the weight room, get as strong and fast as you can. Don't get distracted by High School girls, you won't see them once you go to college anyhow, and no matter how hot you think they are now, in college you'll be amazed at the girls. So FOCUS on your goal, you can make it happen.
If you have the talent, you should have no problem. Ask your coach for help and keep practicing.
