Can I move into the state I want to go to college in and still pay the same amount as in-state students?
Question:
Answer:
You will have to establish permanent residency in that state, and every state will have different policies for this. Look into the states official policy on establishing residency. My guess is that many states will require you to have lived there for 2 or 3 years first.
i don't see why not you are moving to live in that state so why couldn't you pay the same as other students
Only after you establish residency. Depending on the state laws, depends on the length of time you have to be there to be considered a resident. Generally, 1 year after the day you move into the state or get your drivers License changed to that state. ( or such as AK you have to be there from Dec 31 thru Dec 31 of the following year)
No, it is not that easy. Usually you have to have lived there at least a year if not more for the University to consider you a resident of that state.
