Where can I find a list of scholarships for those who are not yet in high school?
Question:
I've been helping them search... Most of the websites out there only offer it for those who are already in high school or college, however.
Answer:
I don't know of any sites that specialize in scholarships for students who haven't started high school yet, but if you go through multiple scholarship databases like http://www.scholarshipexperts.com... and http://www.fastweb.com and http://www.aie.org you will probably find one or two at each. You can also try modifying the search profile to see which awards, scholarships, and contests will be available at 9th grade. Some of the projects for high school students are very involved, and getting a head start on next year's competition would be a great idea!
Also, by looking at the awards he/she will be eligible for in the future, they can see what types of activities and honors the scholarship sponsors are looking for.
My best advice would be to keep looking, even if you don't seem to find much, and encourage your friend that he/she is on the right track. There's no such thing as thinking about funding college too far in advance!
A good choice is to go to fastweb. They find scholarships that you can apply for based on a survey when you sign up. Any one can sign up.
Scholarship is a better way to get money for your education. There are many programms offering scholarships and government grants offering money for educatio.
