calm down. the thought of you hating your little sister like that tears my heart out. it's not her fault. i have a similar problem between my 18 and 9 yr old sons. the big one hates the little one. the little one is feeling it too. what i suggest is, talk to your mom after the little one has gone to bed. let your mom know beforehand that you'd like to talk to her alone after dannie is asleep and that it's very important. this way she won't be taken off guard. when it's time to talk, do it calmly and as an adult. don't talk nasty about your sis b/c that willl make your mom defensive which will only lead to a fight. tell her how you need your private time and why. you'll have to make some compromises as well. maybe work out a schedule with your mom for babysitting. spend a little time with your sister where she doesn't have to beg for your attention. give it all to her for just an hour. play a game,make a cake,take her to the park.if she doesn't have to beg for it,she won't bother you as much. give this some time to work.
it's worth a try. don't hate your sister. i'd kill to have mine back.

You have no idea how painful it is to lose a sister....I just lost mine and i would give up college,boyfriends and everything I own just to see her smile one more time. Your relationship with your mom is the real issue.....
Trust me you may want to make her leave you alone but you do not want to have to hold her cold dead hand and not ever be able to say you are sorry or that you love her...the thigs you are upset about i know were important to you but dissapointment is no reason to want to kill your sister. Do you really like being this way?

• Honestly, this is your sister you're talking about! How could you possibly want to KILL your own sister? She's related to you, and you hate her. Ever heard of loving your family?
• This girl is five years old, and I'll have to admit, she does sound spoiled. But you can't scream "get the hell out of my face" or hit her with a shoe when she's only FIVE YEARS OLD! That's completely unreasonable!
• You also need to quit blaming your sister for everything that's happening in her life. She's five; do you expect her to be able to take care of herself while you go out and party? It's also not her fault that you didn't get the scholarship. You need to quit blaming your sister for stuff that's happening in your life, because it's not her fault.
• Once you consider all these things, I'd advise talking to your mom about how you're feeling like a third wheel. You need to tell her (calmly, I might add!) that although you know Dannie needs someone to watch her, YOU need some time to have a life. Maybe she can start hiring a babysitter or something.
