How do you pay for college without taking semesters off and not working 40hrs a week?

Question:
I wasn't approved last year for financial aid, and i havent got the results for this year! my dad is ineligible to work and my mom does and makes around 30,000 a year my parents cant help and my job know i don't get that many hours, but i dont want to work alot so i can do good in school. Stafford loans dont provide enough i need something that will pay fro college, including tuition, classes, books etc. each semester right now costs 1,300 every quarter so i need help!!!!

Answer:
You should be receiving your financial aid report very soon from your school. Hopefully that will warrant more funds if you filled out your FAFSA correctly. Also you can go to www.fastweb.com and apply for scholarships.
Depending on your age you may be able to file your taxes as independent, that will net you more financial aid, especially if you are only working part-time. Good luck.

Ask your mom to co-sign on a loan. Your school's financial aid department can help with that. Also, if you get denied aid again, you can appeal for certain circumstances, or fill out a independant form if your college allows that. You will need to show proof that you are independant from your parents and they do not help you. Otherwise you have to be 24 to be independant. Good Luck!!
