Reformatting computer, What are the most common things forgotten in backing up?

The most important backup (besides the ones you mention), the drivers for your Motherboard, Sound or other Hardware you don't have a recovery disk or OEM disk.
Also, may sure you have your Windows Product Key. That annoying 16 character code that assures MS that no one else can use their product without paying an arm and a leg to place the OS on each single computer.
you can back up daily used programs to be saved and installed anytime with an automatic hrad drive disk that will automatically copy everything each day at your designated time . this assures no loss of information and the issue of not having to do it per single program as you use
Docs, Pictures, Music, and any specific files is all you can do. Programs cannot and therefore I hope you have all your programs on CD for anything you want to reinstall.
when i restore my comp i always forget to grab the favorites when i do that
