Nursing school?

Question:
I need some advice on what i should do. I recently spoke with my college advisor about my future. I told her i wanted to get into the schools nursing program. She told me my g.p.a wasnt good enough to get in. I told her that i would do whatever it takes but all she said was its too late and i have no chance. So is this really the end or should I try something else? what should i do

Answer:
try a two year program at a technical college, or the LPN program. Nursing has programs where you can advance LPN>ADN>BSN, so try getting in on the ground floor first.
I would try other schools in your area if you really have your heart set on it or look at some alternative careers to nursing such as medical transcription, medical coding and billing, medical office management or medical office assisting. There's plenty of positions out there in which you don't have to have a nursing degree but can still find satisfying work!

If it what you really want, then do not listen to her. You can find away.
A lot of hospitals and community colleges have nursing programs, try them. Most of them require that in you Algreba, Biology, A & P and Micro classes you have a grade of a C or above.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU
