Question:
I am going back to physical therapy school and after an informational meeting I was told that most of the classed I took undergrad are out of date. The advisor recommended that I take classes at a 4 year university to be considered a candidate for this program. The universities that I looked at are going to cost around $1000 per class and I will need 6 classes to make up what I need for the programs. Does anyone know of financial aid specifically set up for prerequisites and adults returning to school?
Answer:
Government financial aid is available to all students, undergraduates, graduates, traditional, non-traditional, etc. If you have a bachelor's degree, you would apply as a graduate student returning to school to take some classes. If you don't have a BS yet, you would apply for the loans as an undergraduate. Best of luck. See the link below for details.
As long as you are a full-time student, you should have no trouble applying for and and receiving financial aid. If you are not eligible for grants, you will probably qualify for a student loan. If you're interested in pursuing scholarships, you can go to www.brokescholar.com and the site will search for possibilities suited to your characteristics.
