Answer:
"Liberal" is in the eye of the beholder. For Conservatives, it includes centrists. Or anybody whose unmarried daughter has got pregnant; who has had horrendous and unpayable and uninsured medical bills and has had to file bankruptcy; anybody who doesn't own a gun; anybody who doesn't think that singing patriotic songs and saying patriotic slogans and prayers equates to being patriotic and devout.
Don't let cold, hard facts get in the way of a good neo-con fairy tale about how the entire media outside of Faux news is against them.
CNN? R U Kidding?

I call them GNN, the Government "News" Network, the mouthpiece of the administration, the NWO opinion control tool, the propaganda matrix, the disinformation network...
90% of all media is owned by conservatives. Its a lie the consevatives tell themselves to make there lies believable.
What makes you think that the board of directors has anything to do with the editorial content or the slanting of the news? That's not a rational connection.

If you want a rational, objective view of how the news is biased, then go look at the Media Research Center, if you have an open mind.
I don't know ask Ted Turner.
Every news network has their bias. That is the reason I watch various networks. I find the common denominator of all networks is sensationalism, and it's not going to make the news unless it's sensationalistic.
regarding the Media Research Center In: This is a conservative media watchdog group run by president and founder Brent Bozell. (In June 1998, Mr. Bozell launched the Conservative Communications Center (C3) to provide the conservative movement with the marketing and public relations tools necessary to deliver its message into the 21st century.)

The Center has a $6 million annual budget and 60 staff members and is **funded by larger right-wing foundations (see below)**.

So, you're saying (the previous responder not the asker) is that because a conservative "watch group" tells you that CNN is liberal, it must therefore be liberal. Such circular logic is exactly the reason so many people believe that there is a liberal bias in the media.

During the first Gulf War, many people referred to CNN as "Ted Turner's Net Work of Lies" because it was so flagrantly biased. Now that we have Faux News, well I guess CNN looks leftist.

A really good book on this topic is Eric Alterman's "What Liberal Media?" I suggest it for anyone who wants to know the truth, or needs a solid argument for bar room discussions or forums like this one!

"Most of the criticism (and anger) has so far emanated from the political Right, which has offered us the rather unconvincing argument that a systematic Left bias is destroying the quality of news and debate in our country today. Journalist and historian Eric Alterman begs to differ."

If you have listened to Lou Dobbs in the past, that should provide a bit of a clue.
