Auto accident? insurance?
Question:
me and my mom pay $180 a month for 3 cars. 2 full coverage and 1 is only liability. good thing that i have full cov on the car i used.
Yes, it may go up, but not $4000 worth. File the claim.
Only your agent can tell you for sure. Don't forget you will have to pay deductible if any.
Report claim only if you have full coverage on this vehicles. If you don't, your insurance company will not pay anything but will record information, so don't even call them. Your payment increase could be about $50.00 - $80.00 a month just for this accident. Good luck!
There isn't enough information here to be able to tell. Are you rated as the operator on the vehicle that was damaged? Are there other drivers in the household? Which state are you in? Have there been any other claims in the past 3 years?
Some companies in some states have "first accident forgiveness", where they won't surcharge for the first accident. Some states divide the surcharges among all the cars and drivers, some will plop all the surcharge onto you and the vehicle you drive, and if that isn't the car you were in the accident with, THAT will be switched around, also.
So it's impossible to answer that. It could be anywhere from nothing to $1,000. You should ask your agent that.
