In the state of Indiana, If I get a speeding ticket will it raise my auto insurance rates?

Question:

Answer:
Maybe. Most companies will "forgive" the first speeding ticket you get, which means, your FIRST ticket won't raise your rates. Your second one will, though.
If you go to traffic school, you'll have a point with the DMV but they will not report it to your insurance company.
My understanding is that in any state getting a ticket can raise your insurance rates. But it's possible that Indiana may have a program where you can go to traffic school to prevent the raise in rates. I know here in Kentucky when you get a ticket you can attend traffic school and upon completion of the program (it's a 3 hour class) by law your insurance company cannot raise your rates due to the ticket.
