Auto insurance in Toronto is about the most expensive there is in Canada. But if you live in the Downtown area there is really no need for a car. My daughter sold her car within a year of moving downtown because public transi is so good. Your US license is good here for a couple of months once you move here so you have time to set up to get a Ontario license, Rules here;
