Question:
I got into accident and my car has to towed up to Collision center. Insurance company adjusted claim and approved $4000 and sent me check. Now my car is ready at Collision center and i need to pick up. Here is the question..I looked at the expense sheet of the repairer and it looks like prices he put for labour and parts are pretty higher than the regular Market rates. Is it possible to Bargain with him and get the payment down??
Have anybody done that successfully?
Answer:
If this work was done per spec to an actual estimate made on the damage to the car, then That means the insurance company figured those costs not to be out-of-line. In other words, THEY estimated HIS charges to be normal. HE agreed to do the work for THAT price. It wouldn't be right to try to negotiate it down; after all, you wouldn't want your boss coming to YOU and trying to negotiate your paycheck down, just because others come along and say they'll do your job for less, now would you?
