I am both disable and retired, which one will benefit me most when applying for auto insurance?
Question:
Answer:
Well, there's ALSO a question about do you have any disability that can affect your driving. So you'll have to answer that, as well.
Neither of them is used as a rating question - so it isn't going to matter. What will matter is if you have a physical problem that interferes with your driving, OR, if you're 70 or over. Both of those can make you ineligible to be insured as a driver.
Go to an agent and tell them both.
You are considered retired.Even though you retired due to a disability.I am in similar circumstances. Check out AARP website.I'm not sure of the exact address.I am a member at 36 yrs. old. so age is not a factor. You might tryj ust going to a search engine(yahoo.com or google.com or ask.com) and typing in the web search box what you are seeking information on. ie "auto insurance for disabled"or American Association of Retired People
I'm afraid you wouldn't find any insurance company to give you an insurance cover. May be I'm wrong. However, it's too simple to find out:
1. Call any insurance company, an agent will see you and explain.
2. Check the website.
I'm sorry, I am not helpful
