Question:
I made a left turn, and as I was turning, a lady made a right wide turn and came into my lane and hit me. When I got the police report, It stated that she made an improper turn and struck my vehicle. No tickets were issued due to the cars being moved. Now she is saying I made a U turn and I struck her. My damage is in the front quarter panel, hers is in the center of the front of her car. That damage wouldn't occur if I made a U turn. She would have damage on the side of her car. Does the police report matter at all to the insurance companies?
Answer:
Yes the insurance company will go with what the police report says. Just make sure the insurance company has a copy of the police report. Fax them a copy if need be just to be safe.
let the insurance co.take care of it thats why you have it.
They do go by the police report and if she yells loud enough the insurance company will have one of their investigators look at the police report. These investigators will know by the vehicle damage that that wasn't possible.. Good Luck
