Call your insurance agent, or go online to your insurance company if that is the way you do it & give them the year, make, model & VIN & the coverages you want & it is added to your current policy (unless it is assigned risk, then you need to pay a deposit to be covered). You will be able to get a temp ID card right away. Take it to the dealer for proof of insurance (you may be able to have a copy of the ID card faxed to the dealer) and then you can get your new car.
u should be able to call your current insurance provider and just give them the vin and they can add it to your policy and give you a temporary verification card
Just go to your own insurance company now, give them the VIN of the new car you got, and other info, and you are set. Go to the dealership, show the proof of insurance, done deal.
