Why do so many libs want someone else to pay for their health care?
Question:
I pay for life, health, homeowners, dental, and auto insurance. Will the libs want us to pay for all the other insurances too?
Answer:
Because we see so much money been wasted in things like the Iraq war, that we figure that if the federal government has money to burn in a lost war, they should have money to help those among us that are less fortunate. BTW, I pay my own health insurance, don't waste my money on stuff that I don't need, I pay for life, health, homeowners, dental, auto insurance, taxes (federal and state and sales), etc, etc, etc. and still feel that the government should help those that are not as fortunate as I am. We always talk about the Judeo-Christian values that the U.S. has, well, guess what, helping those that have less than we do, is a Judeo-Christian value. I seem to remember that from Sunday School. In a nutshell, wasting money in a failed war, because a president insists in making a connection between 9/11 and Iraq (which was never true) is bad policy. Helping your fellow citizens, it is a good policy, as simple as that. Giving to others should feel good in a society that says it is the beacon of democracy and morality to the rest of the world, don't you think?
oh you are a good little doggy, here's a treat,,,
No, of course not. But health care like education is a basic human right in 2007.
Go to canada. They have mostly universal health coverage. Quit your complaining. Why doesn't Iraq pay for us to police their civil war?
It's called 'entitlement'.
Those of us who have foresight get to pay for those who don't.
You already pay for it whether you like it or not. Hospitals have to treat people in the ER whether they are insured or not.
You forgot Welfare, god forbid people have to do things for themselves.
I want to pay for my own way in life. However, I believe nationalized health care is necessary for people who are too young, poor, or ill to work and get health insurance. 40 million Americans don't have health insurance. Many of these people are children. I would be happy to have my tax money go towards children's health care.
Two words: Wealth redistribution
if we had national health insurance we'd all pay and all recieve coverage if we wanted it. you can keep your private if it suits you
$250... don't you think that's a little bit too much a month? and that's probably just you, as family plans often run around $500 a month...
that's a thousand dollars every 4 months for you, or every 2 months for many people with families.
and guess what... it's only going to keep going up... and your deductables are only going to keep going up...
how long will you be able to afford it? how long will your family members be able to afford it?
and I, personally, think there is a difference between a life and a house or a car? just me...
and really, that's nothing more than a tax now... only stupid people don't have it... you can't afford not to have it...
Just another form of socialism. NOWHERE in the United States constitution does it say that it's the responsibility of the US government to tax it's citizens in order to pay for health care, retirement, or to pay people for not working & having more kids.
On that note, why is it that people complain about the rising costs of health care and gasoline when those very same people seem to have PLENTY of money for Ipods, Itunes, ring tone downloads, razor phones, Playstation III's, fake nails, bling bling, tobaco, alcohol, and pay per view boxing events? Bottom line is that if you work and don't have health insurance it's YOUR FAULT, not the governments. And certainly not the taxpayers!
I pay 466 a month for me and my wife. If you want the luxury of going to a good doctor and not hitting up the local inner city emergency room, get a job and purchase insurance. It'd also help if you didn't have 10 kids.
Yes! yes! yes!!! they want want want!! not only do the libs want, they cry and ***** until they get what it is that they want! they dont want god in schools they want us to pay everyone elses bills, they want abortions to be handed out everything they want is a matter of america giving to them! they cannot make or get something on there own, because when someone fights they bring in idiots like the ACLU! ok sorry i went off the subject, but i hate libs!! I agree with you, cost of living is to high and prices for personal insurance are just getting higher, how can we function in our own "paycheck to paycheck" lives if we have to pay everyone elses bill, this is why the democratic party is always trying to push some unheard of agenda like health reform and blah blah blah!
Oh go buy some more of that... wow you are so smart ;-)
This is easy..Liberals want you to be liberal with your money not theirs. Always remember that. Statisically they are also the least generous people when it comes to charitable giving. They are basically failures who want to sponge off society as they can't make it in the free market.
Pray you never loose that job! You could find yourself needing help! I have been on both side of the desk! Most people only need help for a short time anyway! did you ever get a student loan? Student Grant? I did and if the hard hearted Republicans had their way I would not have ever been able to get any schooling beyond high school! I thank God for Democrats! The Medicare health care is not so good Medicade people have to let their teeth fall out because dental is not covered, after the teeth fall out there will be no dentures! They don't get hearing aids nor eye glasses in my state. Seeing, hearing and chewing their food is not covered. So their health care is rock bottom and not good.Would you want to live that way? Well most people who have Medicade don't want it either! Most people have worked before Medicade and will work after Medicade!.Because it is not worth it!
I am no liberal but I do believe that health insurance such as medicaid is very helpful. Without it how would pharmacies stay in business? No one can afford their medicines. Or maybe we should just let people and babies die because we don't want to have to pay a little to help them get health care. You should really watch what you say. I know people who used to be completely against welfare and the system and they were struck with illness and now depend on it to get by.
Insurance is all just a racket anyway.
It's one of the many "entitlement' programs that the Libs would have you believe is in the "best interest" of all people. Sounds wonderful doesn't it? What they don't tell you is; once the Government implements "socialized, universal, heatlh care" is that you don't get to choose the physician of your choice, the quality of care goes down (doctors' fees are regulated) & the waiting list just to "see' your physician can take months...and...you didn't think that the money for all this is coming out of Liberal wallets, did you?
Yes the will. A core philosophy of liberalism is redistribution of wealth. Socialism basically. Everyone should have the same income no matter what job they do or if they even work at all.
You really are worried about nothing. Implemented correctly your cost of insurance wouldn't be much higher than it is currently. There is even a chance it would go down. That is the advantage of spreading the cost around.
In case you are wondering, a well implemented group insurance program costs half of what you are paying per month with good benefits.
If you believe that the government doesn't have a chance of getting things close to correct, then you might have a concern.
Don't you know that insurance is a socialist invention, designed to spread the risk of illness and accident among the many, so that each will pay a proportionate share? If you were true conservative, you would immediately cancel all your insurance and bear all the risk yourself, and, if no catastrophes befall you, reap all the benefit yourself.
Rude awaking, with private healthcare still paying for people dont have coverage how? The doctor office will bill insurance companies higher to make up for people that do not have health insurance. Healthcare is a human right, and costs are out of control? The solution is not easy to get at becaues of entrenched interests involved, and thousands of jobs in the healthcare sector. The goverment allow taxpayer to buy coverage thru the goverment, but it would be something done each tax year. The person would pay a higher medicare tax rate if they want healthinsurance thru a goverment pool, and the lower rate would apply for people want to keep the private coverage, or they want to use both. The solution to healthcare private system, or publically funded is to delink health insurance from your job status. Private insurance costs a lot more once people middle age like $400 to $900 a month, and you have cronic diease the healthinsurance companies will deny coverage for you because of pre-exisiting health conditions. Still, I see room for more healthcare services provided out of pocket instead of the isurance company or goverment picking up the tab. Transpracy of healthcare costs is needed, and electronic records all of people would be start. The real costs of meidcal procedure are never known since people are shielded from them by complexity of the system. Hybird system will always be around for healthcare, and some people will never have $500 dollars a month to pay for coverage, and some people have cronic conditions that the private healthinsurance market will aviod like the plauge. ITs not liberal or consverative issuse its a human rights issuse. Still, goal is to delink healthcare from your employment.
Perhaps because they CARE FOR OTHER PEOPLE besides themselves? Ya think?
The United States is the only industrialized nation that does not guarantee access to health care as a right of citizenship. 28 industrialized nations have single payer universal health care systems.
You don't want universal health care !
