Auto Insurance Problem (Drive from the U.S. to Canada)?

Question:
Hi, I live in Oklahoma state and I bought liability insurance only. However, I am going to drive to Canada next month and probably going to stay there for a month. Is there anything that I need to do with my auto insurance?

Thanks!

Answer:
No, I live in Canada and often drive to the United States. Given that the two countries are similar and have similar insurance laws as well as companies, eg: allstate, if u get into an accident in Canada, your insurance company will handle it just as they would in the U.S. For more info, call and ask your company.
As long as you are duly licenced and insured, you are good to drive in Canada. You might have a problem if you were going to stay in Canada for a longer period of time, (more than just a tourist) or were driving for business reasons, but you should have no problems. Enjoy your visit!
If you're not staying for a long period, I doubt if you should bother, howeve, it's always good to read the fine print of your contract.
