Does full coverage auto insurance cover you vehicle if you were arrested at the scene for substance possession

Question:
i wasnt charged with a DUI or DWI

Answer:
I dont know what insurance company the dude above me has... but.. all MAJOR carriers are going to cover your accident regardless if something was found in the car at all. Of course, your rates are liekly going to sky-rocket after. But, a criminal offense that was part of the accident DOES NOT make them deny the claim.

Yes, that was stupid.. but dont let the people on here who dont know a thing about car insurance scare you. I have yet to hear of a policy that would deny a claim because of this. unless you have an sr-22 or something.. you should be fine.

any actual qualified claims adjuster or agents think any different? cuz all the companies ive dealt with wouldnt deny this
Again, the answer is no. If you were charged with possession of a controlled substance, the insurance company (rightly and justifiably) will deny any claims.

Furthermore, they will routinely check to see if an arrest was made, so don't bother filing a claim; you don't stand a snowball's chance in H***! Next time, don't carry anything you don't want found..simple, no?.
Absolutely not. When it becomes an illegal issue, the insurance company does not stand.
You were charged with possession, so no, your insurance will not cover you.
