Insurance related question in regards to PAP policy covering motor home rental for vacation?

Question:
I would like to rent a motor home to go on vacation. Will my PAP (personal auto policy) cover the operation of the motor home in regards to liability, medical payments coverage, physical damage coverage & UM (Uninsured motorist coverage)I would also like to take some business partners with me and was wondering would this be considered business use or personal use? If there is a distinction between the 2 what would it be?

Answer:
No, your PAP won't cover you. Check the definitions section of your policy under "Insured auto" it probably says it will cover any auto furnished for your "regular use" but will not cover anything bigger than an SUV. A motor home is not classed as an "auto". You should be able to purchase the insurance from the place you are renting the motor home from.
You are going on vacation so it would be considered personal use regardless of who goes with you. Business use is when the motor home home is used in a way that would generate income for your business- taking supplies to a job site, delivering goods, selling goods from the vehicle, used for advertising your busines- there are many other examples but you get the idea.
Call your Insurance Agent to be sure though.
