Yes, someone out there has had a bad experience with EVERY company. But Travelers has relatively broad coverage, and competitive pricing.
Travelers is a good company. They bought St. Paul a few years ago, and after spending some time in an identity crisis, they have decided to keep the name Travelers. They have competitive rates. Remember, most companies' homeowners and auto policies are identical, so we're really only talking about a difference in price as a deciding factor.
I concur. You will be able to find someone that has a complaint about every company. Overall, Travelers has a good reputation in the industry. I have dealt with their claims staff, and they seem to be reasonable. I can comment on their pricing.
