Anyone with GMAC Auto Insurance?

Progressive is one of the top carriers in the US. IN my experience, they have GREAT service, both handling the policy and handling the claim. GMAC, well, there's nothing wrong with them - but whatever type of problem you had with Progressive, just switching carriers probably isn't going to solve it.
MY guess is, you're trying to do this alone without an agent. In which case, your REAL problem is your agent.

Amen to the previous answer. You need an agent. A good agent. It doesnt matter what company they work for. Progressive or Drive insurance( Same thing) is a GREAT company. GMAC hmmm. not bad, but not Progressive. I am curious to know what your issue is. If it's a claims issue, more than likely you'll have the same problem no metter where you go. You may want to look into some preffered carries. All-state, State Farm, or Nationwide, dont just look at price, although thats most important. evaluate the agent, after all he is asking you to hire him and pay him, Interview him. Ask about experience, and what he thinks of your situation with progressive. If you're buying insurance online.it's just like buying a house without a realtor. We are trained professionals who know the ins and outs of the business. Why wouldn't you want an agent ' ON YOUR SIDE'
oh and BTW... online rates are usually not much if at all cheaper than an agent can offer you.
I sell both Progressive and Drive insurance. and have sold GMAC in the past.
No doubt the easiest way to get insurance quotes is on the web.
Why would you waste your time on the phone calling around?
the last time i needed quotes on insurance i used one of these comparison sites and it was great.
this is the site i used and it was quick like less than 5 mins.
The last thing I want to do is listen to elevator music while waiting for a salesman.
Anyway I got good quotes and ended up saving money so I was happy.
So shop around and compare quotes which is easy on the net.
