How many driving points before you see an increase in your auto insurance?

Question:

Answer:
I think even 1 point might increase your premium. The increase in premium depends on individual companies point system. All companies rate each type of violation differently. Consult the company/agent to know about the point system.
That may be dependent on your particular ins. co.
Most have their own pts. system. I would think that a call
to your agent would get you a detailed breakout of their
pts. figures
it depends on the insurance company. some companies will allow one minor violation and still give you the good driver discount (which is really nice), but anything over that, I wouldn't hold my breath. regardless, call around. I would suggest giving a broker or an agent a call. we can save you tons of money. or you know, try going on esurance.com sometimes they offer really great rates. good luck.
