Is my car insurance still responsible for my car if repairs weren't done probably?

Question:
I have a 1996 pontiac sunfire and it was involved in an accident with front end damage.my car was at the auto repair almost two month when I picked up my car my coolant light came on they hadn't replaced the anti freeze (I had to do that myself)and two days later my check engine light came on and it finally when off. Three days later it came back on. I had a diagnostic test done and I got a code of #PO440.I took it to my mechanic and he got the same code.My mechanic can't find the problem and his last resort is that it might have to be taken back to the dealer, which I can't afford. Can my insurance still hold the auto collision company responsible since they didn't fix or repair the problem.I even had my emission test done a week after I picked up my car and it passed the test.

Answer:
If you used the repair shop the insurance company recommended they stand behind the work.

If you took the check and found your own repair shop the insurance company will not get involved.
Possibly, but probably not. If you happened to get a flat tire after getting it back, would that be their fault? They will argue it's a new problem that has nothing to do with the accident or the repairs. (Which may or may not be true).

Why didn't you take it back immediately when you found the coolant problem? Also the insurance company might have suggested a shop, but you made the ultimate decision as to where it went.

Instead of asking here, why not call your agent and ask?
