If a person is hurt in an accident does employer have to continue to carry that insurance?

Question:
My husband was hurt in an auto accident the place where he was employed was carrying his health insurance. The employer states that he does not have to continue to carry his health insurance for him and our family is this correct or is there a law that states otherwise?

Answer:
I had a friend injured while engaged in a work related situation, and she went from regular employee to Worker's Comp. If your husband has been turned into Worker's Comp, it's a different type of classification. They do have Worker's Comp attorneys and you might want to consult with one to determine your situation.
You need to contact a lawyer. This is way to serious to risk any answers you would get here. No offense to any of you lawyers out there. Free advice would be good, but usually not too trustworthy.
