Maximum time to file insurance claim?

Question:
how long do you have until you cant file a claim on your auto insurance?

Answer:
What ever the policy or state law says. Why would you want to wait any time at all?
Most insurance companies give you 30 to file a claim.
Check your policy. It will tell you.
Typically the amount of time you take is an alert to your adjuster, but your policy tells you in the CONDITIONS section.

Usually it's 30 days or 60 days. AGAIN, a claim can still be denied though even if it has been 2 days post "accident."
Last I knew it was 48-72 hrs. more than likely different in many states,
