How do I lower my car insurance? Is their any auto classes I can take?

Question:

Answer:
Defensive Driving classes from your local DMV. Before you sign up and take it though, ask your current insurance company if it will even help. Here, if you're under 25, or over 55, it will. Anywhere in between and it does no good.

Do you own your own home? (Mobile or Family). If so, take them a copy of your tax receipt. They can give you a Home/Car discount (usually even if you don't insure the home with them!)

Are you in school? Keep a B average or higher, get a discount.

Add an older person to your insurance, who has good credit and a good record.

Haven't had any accidents for five years? Ask if they have an accident free discount.

Also, check your deductible. If you have $250 or lower, raise it up. The higher the deductible, the lower the premium. But it does mean that you have to pay more if you're in an AT-FAULT accident.

Check your liability limits. Do you have what the law requires or higher? You can always lower those for the time being and then push them back up when you can afford it.

Most all companies now require you to carry UNinsured motorist, but check to see if you have UNDERinsured motorist. It is NOT required by law in most states and you can remove it. UNDERinsured pays if you are in a NOT-AT-FAULT accident, and the other drivers insurance isn't enough to cover all of the damage.

Good Luck!
By switching to Geico.
It depends on your age, the type of car you have, if you have any accidents, tickets, DUIs, MIPs, that kind of thing, and the insurance company you have.
well I'll tell you this much. I just saved a bunch of money by (almost)
switching to state farm. I was paying 712 with Geico. State
farm's coverage was only 461. Same coverage. Geico went
down to 512 to keep me as a customer. I only stayed with Geico because
I didn't want to go through the hassle of changing insurance cards. Moral of the story: Shop around.
Try this. Go to the Department of Transportation website, for your state. There's usually a test (Defensive Driving). About 50 questions. When you completed the test, if you pass, you can print the certificate. Take the certificate to your insurance provider. There's usually a 5 to 15% discount depending on the company.
You can lower your car insurance by reducing the coverage or increasing the deductible, If your car is financed you might not be able to do anything.
i don't think u can take a class, but try swiching to guico!!!!!
