Do I need insurance?

Question:
I'm from New York, but I as of recently live year round in Massachusetts. If I buy a car and register it in the Greater Boston Area, is it required by law that I have Auto Insurance, or is that Just a New York thing?

Answer:
By law no matter what state I believe you must be insured.
Not positive, but its pretty much a law everywhere now.
Get insurance, it's a national thing, not just a state by state thing.
Yes you have to have insurance before registering the car in mass.
It is a nationwide thing. You have to have insurance to drive everywhere.
I believe liability insurance is required in all 50 states.
Not positive, but its pretty much a law everywhere now.
All 50 states require that you carry at least liability coverage on a motor vehicle. Liability coverage protects others that you do harm to.

Some states allow you to post a bond with the secretary of state - usually between ten and fifty thousand dollars cash - instead of carrying liability insurance.
It's a law, buy insurance.
state to state regs. you have to check in that state but I would keep it year round anyway.
Ohio, nyc both require insurance and if you drive through you better have it.
or suspension for three months, guranteed.
You have to have at LEAST liability in most states, id check local laws to be sure though
Insurance is required everywhere. If you get into an accident you can be sued and charged by police for not having insurance.
I don't care where you are from or going to, you'd better have insurance, either to cover your *** in case of an accident - or at least cover yourself against possible lawsuits if you end up injuring someone on the road.
yup u need insurance, its not only a law but its for your own good too..if you get in an accident ur not only gonna have to pay for the damage urself but if its ur fault ur also gonna have to pay for the other car! not all insurance are expensive here in la they are i pay 120 a month which hurts my wallet but we gotta follow the law!
having auto insurance is required in all states.!!
im in ohio and its the law. if you are stopped and dont have insurance then you can be charged for not having insurance and if they dont ask for and you dont volunteer it, they will put on ticket that you dont have insurance. I was charged 200$ for not having insurance and it wasnt my car, the owner of the car didnt tell me, and the insurance company says need insurance even if no car.(that was me at the time) didnt know this: learned an expensive lesson.
call your local bureau of motor vehicles they have the rules and regulations. best to have insurance just for your own peace of mind.
Do you NEED insurance. No. No one does. Isurance is just a bet against your self game of chance that our government has forced us to play along with. Is there a law that you have it. yes.
Yes, it's all over.
Only if you plan to drive the car, park it on any public property, or put a license plate on it. Otherwise, if you plan to put it out of sight in your garage and never drive it, no.
