find a good location, in a good area.clear lake is awesome.remember you have your power houses like state farm, and all-state so you have to compete with them...business is starting to boom however in clear lake, pearland, friendswood, and oh of course sagemont baby! Good luck, and remember the key to sucess is advertisement!

Contact the Texas Board of Insurance first! You will need to begin the licensing process first to open an insurance brokerage. I assume you are talking about selling policies of insruance carriers not becoming an insurance carrier.
