Question:
Answer:
Sounds like she broke the law by not having insurance.
where i am they don't have to give you a reason to be fired . this example shows irresponsibility on character though
some companies write into the terms and conditions that you should have not have a criminal record and this is seen as breach of contract. It depends on the type of business and work involved how strictly this is enforced - e.g cannot have a lawyer with a criminal record
having a drivers lisence and ins is not required for a job unless it entails driving...but yepp it sounds fishy bet theres a lot more to the story
i dont see how her not having insurance on her car is a reason to be fired, unless she was driving a county vehicle or driving her vehicle for work purposes. I worked for the county for a few years and had to show them my license and proof of insurance, as i drove from client to client with my own vehicle and they paid me mileage...sounds like they just canned her for no reason. got a case i would say
If you are not a contracted employee you are a at will employee to rap that up if your not contracted they can fire you for almost any reason with a few exceptions
