That's one of the reasons any minor considering emancipation should think carefully before taking steps.
So many kids announce that they'd rather live as an emmancipated minor than have to take living under a parent's supervision. Many of these actually contact attornies before even considering where, or how they are going to live. I spoke with one fifteen year old girl who said she had already made arrangements to move in with three men who's primary income was from dealing drugs.
So, first, congratulations on your emancipation. I have to assume that you had good reasons for pursuing this course. I advise you to be prepared for many challenges ahead of you until you reach the age of eighteen.
Good luck to you.

Every state has a dedicated government website that serves as a liason to its state's taxpayers. This website should have an answer for you. If not, do a search using this phrase [ "emancipated minors" and "auto insurance"] quotations included.
This should give you an idea of how to accomplish this task. I also attempted to emancipate myself when I was 16. Without success, I just did what I wanted. Moved out of my Mother's house and traveled accross country.
I missed out on many things. My childhood mostly. Although you're emancipated, don't forget the important things in life such as family. Whether family is brothers, sisters, parents, or friends, you will be wise to support a relationship with them.
Nothing replaces that.
