Background Check?
Question:
Answer:
Depends on how much you owe and how past due they are. If you are only processing claims, it might not be an issue. But if you will have access to confidential information that can tempt the innocent into theft, it might be a red flag. Tell them in advance what they will find. Better they hear it from you than to be surprised by it, plus it gives you the opportunity to provide an explanation, where otherwise they will just say you didn't get the job and you won't have any chance for rebuttal.
Good luck!
Man i wish i were you. You cool girl dont worry about it
If they are merely past due 30 days, perhaps not. If you are consistently past due, or past due for even longer, a good chance you won't be hired. You really REALLY need to fix your credit issues as soon as possible.
um.. I shouldnt think so. However, I hope you disclosed this information on your application. usually it takes a month or two for a reporting agency to update your credit report, so in the meantime try to get your account up to date and hopefull it wont show.
I sell credit reports, and other reports, for employment screening.
It depends on the criteria that the employer has established and how late these past due payments are.
some employer's do check applicants credit rating, while applying, ask if that is a problem, then you will know....if you do not get the job because of credit history, clean up your credit as soon as possible, then apply again...while you are doing that, check out the employment agencies, both regular and temp agencies for jobs, and also gives you more work experience for another job.
