How Accurate Is The Progressive Auto Insurance Website Quote's?
Question:
Answer:
Not very. I work for an insurance company, and we have "shopped" there and determined that they do not have the right information. I am not sure how often they update their database, but it would stand to reason the way insurance is, that rates would vary some and not be dead-on if not coming from that company itself. They could be close, but not exact with just about any.
There are better online sources if you want comparative quotes. Here are a couple of sites that will get quotes for you from several companies:

I have always heard good things about Progressive. If you submitted all your information correctly there should be no reason to think the qote would not be accurate. I think you should compare your rates with other companies as well like http://www.surfquotes.com or http://www.geico.com.
i bought insurance for my new truck on-line at progressive. I did check several other web sites before buying and progressive was the cheapest in my area.
If you are asking about their own rates, your answer is that as long as EVERYTHING you enter in the quote is accurate, the quote is exact. As for comparisons, the information, as indicated, is based on publicly filed information with your state's DOI but will not include specific discounts, etc.
Most online quotes are very accurate. I think that Progressive would give you an accurate quote. If you really want to save money go to http://www.2insure4less.com/?s=blog... . Just fill out one form and get many quotes. You would get better rates.
