I was in 2 auto accidents (both not my fault) within 2 days of eachother. What can I expect for comp?

Question:
The first accident was caused by someone backing out of their spot and not noticing me, resulted in a huge dent in the lower-side of the passenger door. The second was me getting rear-ended, basically ruining my bumper and the trunk won't stay shut. Taking these two situaitons into perspective, I'm going to require a ton of body work on the car. What I'm looking to do is get the entire car repainted because I have some areas of the car where paint was chipped off due to rock salt, stones, etc. My plan is to consult with the guy at the body shop to get a quote for the cost to repaint the entire car while in the shop. However, someone told me that due to the amount of work going into the vehicle, it may be negotiated by the insurance companies to include the entire job in with the estimate. I'm not sure if she's in the right. I'm willing to pay for the cost of the all-over paint job (to a point), but I just wanted to see where I can go with this first.

Answer:
some lady backed into me too and messed up my whole right side like you and i had to salvage my car,but got the total worth of my car and my car still runs and now i have a new car!
You really need to check with your insurance agent, or if you don't have ne, you should probably obtain one.
my experince has been that the insurance will only pay for what they think the car is worth i think up to 70% of the salvage price like if ur car is worth $3000 they will pay u for up to 70% of that if its over then its totaled but as far as the paint job if its not related to the incidents then they probably wont give u anymore then what it cost to fix the damage
My dad owns a body shop, and they generally won't agree to spend a penny more than what they have to. I would ask the guy who wrote the estimate on the car just what parts are going to have to be repainted or blended because they will have to blend the paint on the repaired parts into the old paint. I'm not sure how bad your car is damaged, but it may need most of the car repainted. Just check into it and see if you can pay the difference. Just remember that paint isn't cheap, cause when I mix paint some of it can cost well over a hundred bucks for just a small container of it.
Probably the insurance will pay for some. Depends on ur insurance and state that u live in.
