Is there a charge to reinstate auto insurance in ma. if the payment is late?

Question:

Answer:
Usually there is no extra charge to reinstate a policy as long as it hasn't gone past the time that it can be reinstated. What you need to do is pay the overdue amount and they will actually credit you for the amount of time the policy was lapsed. If it can't be reinstated, you may have to start the policy all over again which could result in a high premium.
All insurance companies are about the money. If there is a dollar to be made on any angle of it, yes, they will charge you.
