How do i create a legal contract with a friend?

Question:
I want to settle a payment without getting my auto insurance involved. But I want this agreement in writing so that he cant screw me over and try to sue, blackmail or threaten me for more money. How do I go about doing this without a lawyer?

Answer:
My guess would be to chat to ur lawyer and get him to draw one up for you...
You can write an agrrement and both sign it. You can then take it to a notary service who will notarize the contract making it legaly binding.
Unfortunately, this is not a cookie-cutter agreement that you can buy from an office supplies store. You may be surprised at how little a lawyer will charge if you give him the facts. You will have to decide if his fees are worth the potential costs.
Include both parties names, the property damaged, the amount to be paid, the date to be paid/description of payment schedule, penalties if late, recourse for collecting (including defaulter paying collection & court costs), both signatures, and a notary (or witness).
