Tax question, any thoughts?

Question:
If you are a tax payer and you get to claim the people that you support as dependents such as your wife and childeren is there a way to claim as dependents the people that benifit from programs supported by your tax dollars that are not offered to you?

This is flat out mandated redistribution of wealth by the state.
One example that comes to mind is the auto insurance surcharge to help pay for UNINSURED MOTORIST? We have that in the very blue state of New Jersey.
What a concept huh! So and so pays his auto insurance all the time so hit him with a little bit more to take care of so and so who refuses to pull his weigh.
My law, if you choose to drive without insurance and you get caught your car gets impounded and you will be fined $100 for the first offense, this money going into a general fund to lower the cost of auto insurance for law abidding citizens. You will have one month to get your auto insurance situation in order, if not the vehicle gets reposessed or sold at auction.

Answer:
I fully agree. Usually, when these individuals are fined, they don't pay anyway. If they had the money to pay for insurance, they wouldn't have been driving in the first place. If they don't pay their fines, their cars should be sold at auction and the proceeds should be used to pay the fines. Driving is a luxury - something earned. There's already free public transportation for those who are needy, which our tax payer dollars cover. When you run for office, email me - you'll get my vote.
No.
These issues are much more complicated then this. When people drive without insurance, they do get fined. It's called "driving without insurance", and it is illegal. The things your tax money goes to isn't for them. If a person without insurance hits a street light, and they have no money or insurance, we can't wait for them to pay for the street light to get fixed. So the government pays for it and hopefully the person responsible will eventually pay the fine for what they did.

There are certain things you do pay for others. But most are necessary. If a person with no money needs to go to the emergency room for medical help, I have no problem with my taxes helping them out.
very good point . but this goverment is in the business of collection of tax moneys not giving credit for it
