Auto injury settlement?
Question:
Answer:
How do you claim to have come by a herniated disc from an auto accident so low in your spine?
If you claimed a neck injury I could understand that.
Suing your insurance? Good luck with that.
PS:
OK, there is a possibility I might be wrong, sorry if that is the case. :)
I have had a herniated disc, l5-S1 too, I had surgery on it twenty years ago and it helped very much.
I was in a wreck 2 yrs ago..finally got to doing the depostion. What ever your lawyer gets you, all your medical bills and your lawyer fees will come out of that money as well. Your lawyer may not get what he/she is asking for but will try. You need to know what % your lawyer gets and how much all your medical bills are then that will give you some idea.
Message to Scott.. you can get a herniated disc in your neck as well as you back. I have both, my driver seat broke on impact when I was hit from behind. Unless you have been thru it...you shouldn't judge..
Ugh! I am so tired of people not telling us where these accidents happened and where the suit was filed, among other things. I'm not mad at you, but this is about the 5th question I've answered, or tried to answer, this week asking this.
Really though, your attorney should be able to tell you how much you can expect to get. That's what you're paying him (eventually) to do. Also, just keep in mind, no matter what number someone throws out at you, at the end of the day no one can predict what a judge or jury will do. It's a big fat crap shoot!
Here's my 2 cents as well- it's not common to see a low back herniation in an auto accident because the low back is so much better protected in the seat than the neck is- but you didn't say what kind of accident you had or anything, so I won't question it as being related.
