How long will the insurance company keep your incident record ? And the insurance rate return to normal ?

Question:
I got involved in an auto accident. I never had any accident. But my insurance rate increase almost 2-fold. how long that my rate will be increased ?

Answer:
ins companies charge for a ticket or at fault accident for 3 years. after that 3 year period has passed your ins rate should drop.
they usually keep it 3 to 5 years it just depends on your insurance co.if you ask them they should tell you how long.
It totally depends on your insurer.
You should shop around to see if there might be an insurer that will look more closely at you credit score rather than your driving record. Some insurers put more creedence in your credit score than your driving record because credit scores are much more accurate in predicting insurance loss. Mostly because it's pretty easy to hide tickets from your record.
Also check to see if you belong to any membership organizations that might offer discounted rates.
