How long do i have to wait for a response from my insurance company to the demand letter i sent them?
Question:
Answer:
bout a year
you need a lawyer! he'll get you 10x what you could get on your own.
It depends if you have uninsured/underisured coverage on your policy. Read you dec page to double check and if so, call your agent. If not, the loss is yours to sustain. They should be helpful in getting what it is you seek.
I think you are foolish for not getting an attorney. The insurance companies have attorneys working for them. It won't cost anything out of your pocket and could earn you way more than what you were thinking. Attorneys can also keep the bill collectors off your back and negotiate with the Dr.'s and Hospitals to take less than they are billing. You get a free consultation, and you have more to loose by not going! Good Luck!
i have uninsured motorist coverage for up to $25,000. i demanded the policy limit of $25,000 because a lawyer told me i couldnt get more than the policy limit..my medical bills have accumulated to about $13,000 so far. so i sent a demand for $25,000.if i were to get a lawyer he would take 1/3 and i think it would be more foolish to get a lawyer. i was just wondering how long they have to respond to my demand
30 days does seem like a very long time. Are you sure you are dealing with a reputable company? I know that I applied with someone online, and I had insurance a week later. Why don't you try these guys, and you will be much better off. http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-2177451-104...
