Is Secura insurance company reputable?

Question:

I was told by my insurance agent that in order to keep my house insured with them , I would also need to insure my auto with them. Does anyone have or has had any experience with Secura insurance? Good or bad.

That seems rather odd. Maybe you should call the company direct and ask if that is really true. Also here are some other homeowners insurance companies.

Where are you located? There is a Secura based in Wisconsin as well as one in Belguim and Luxembourg.
If you are in the US, then it is probably the Wisconsin based one. I'm not sure about claims handling (you might want to check epinions.com or bbb.com) but as far as financial strength, they are A rated by ambest which means they are financially strong.
