How long does it take for an auto insurance adjuster to render a bill after an accident?

Question:
I rear ended someone, and there was no injuries. How long will they take to get a bill from the insurance company? I called the auto body shop and they said the auto damage was fixable.

Answer:
That process is longer than you think. It may be in the shop now, but paperwork and all that can sometimes delay the submission of a bill. It could be up to 6 months, could be longer.
The insurance company will bill you when the claim is finalized, which will include damages to the vehicle, possibly rental and possibly injury treatment. This could take one month, or two years.
It will take a long time
