What's an auto insurance lasp?

Question:

Answer:
I presume you mean a lapse. A policy that is not renewed by you lapses, the coverage ends.
That is when you don't pay your premiums and you loose your auto insurance.
Or when you don't have insurance for a period of time and then try to get insurance again.
