I am very careful, but thanks for the good reminder.
Although I haven't encountered any problems like that so far on this website, I was idiotic enough to fall prey to 2 other situations online:
1. I applied for an online job, and after giving them my name, address, etc., I could not reach the company, they never emailed me back, so I wound up reporting it on: ripoffreport.com, which is similar to the Better Business Bureau's website.
2. Recently, I gave a woman my phone number on an online support group site, and since she's only contacted me once to apologize for not contacting me, I really don't know what the heck's going on there. I am afraid that she'll somehow run up my phone bill, I don't know, there are just so many identity theft problems going on. But thank you for pointing this out to me and others, and hopefully it will stand as a reminder to all of us to be careful what we list in cyberspace.

I got to thinking of that when answering a question about my pets name.
and then when that pop-up come up asking me to identify my self to yahoo with a previously used credit card.
