Did you have a problem getting your irs refund direct deposit in your account?
Question:
Answer:
Your bank may not have been able to post it before the end of the business day, If it is not in your account on Monday call the IRS to see if there is a problem
I have the same issue. The IRS said my refund was deposited on the 9th but it is not there yet.
I am unsure about your exact situation but I had a client with the same problem. They actually went through HSBC bank to get their fees withdrawn from their refund. In the case I had the IRS deposits into HSBC and then HSBC will deposit into their account with their bank. This can cause a one to two day delay before you see it actually in your account. Basically it needs to finish making the rounds before you will actually receive it if you filed the same as my client. I would imagine that your refund will be available sometime monday.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck
I have the same exact problem-and after investigating I found the following info out:
This is happening to ALOT of people, due to some computer glitch. Check around the web-many people are reporting this problem, and all have used different tax preparer's (ie HR Block; Jackson Hewitt: Taxact ; etc) No matter what company you used to do your taxes, if you choose to have your tax prep fee taken out of your refund, then your money is coming from HSBC bank-Not the IRS.
I spoke to the acocunting dept at the IRS. OF COURSE she denied there was any problem, and also denied this is happening to other people all around the country. She was also snooty, but if you want to call them the # is 1-800-829-1040. Good luck with them.
Then I called taxact.com's support . The nice man who answered the phone said he had been swamped with calls regarding this issue all day. He said the IRS is not getting the money to HSBC right away this year. And of course, until the IRS pays HSBC-you don't see a dime. My refund was due in my account on Fri Feb 9th. The IRS didn't pay HSBC until Feb 10th. Then HSBC takes at least 2 business days to deposit it into your account. The plus is HSBC has a tax refund status hotline which is 1-800-365-0233. This is th emost accurate way to determine where your refund is, since the IRS is giving inaccurate information regarding when refunds are supposed to be deposited. (and of course won't admit anything is THEIR fault)
I hope this help you.
